Admission tickets for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan are required to view each pavilion.
Admission tickets are e-tickets. You can purchase them directly with your smartphone or computer from the official ticket sales website.

Pavilion Programs

Some programs at the Japan Pavilion Require advance reservations, while others can be viewed without reservations.

Programs that require advance reservations

Japan Pavilion (3-area Tour)

The Japan Pavilion consists of three areas: the Plant Area, the Farm Area and the Factory Area. Each area has a unique entrance and exit, meaning visitors will experience a different route depending on where they enter and exit from. The information below is for a basic viewing of all three areas:

Japan Pavilion (3-area Tour) Reservation Precautions
  • Estimated viewing time of the Japan Pavilion is approximately 35 minutes.
  • Once you have entered the pavilion, you will not be able to leave and re-enter.
  • There are some dark areas in the pavilion for dramatic effect. Please be careful if you have young children or are sensitive to the dark.
  • If you arrive after your reservation time, in principle you will not be able to enter the pavilion. You will need to make a new reservation if you wish to enter.
  • Please note that you may have to wait for about 10 minutes after your reservation time.
  • Please note that the pavilion may be closed, change viewing hours or cancel some exhibits if necessary due to problems with display equipment.
  • The pavilion may be closed due to unavoidable circumstances such as weather or natural disasters. In such cases, we ask that you make a new reservation.
Requests for Visitors
  • Please refrain from consuming outside food or drinks inside the pavilion.
  • Taking photos is permitted, but please refrain from flash photography.
  • Video recording is allowed, but please refrain from prolonged recording in the same spot or any behavior that may disturb other visitors.
  • Please refrain from using selfie sticks, monopods, tripods and other auxiliary photography equipment.
  • Please refrain from recording for commercial purposes, any form of live broadcasting or similar filming that could lead to copyright infringement. Please be aware that the Japan Pavilion will not be held responsible for any issues caused by posting images or videos that depict visitors unrelated to the individual recording or taking photos.
  • We will not be held responsible for accidents, loss or theft due to negligence on the part of visitors. In addition, if you intentionally cause damage to the facilities, etc., you may be required to pay for the damage.
  • If we deem that the safety of the individual or those around them cannot be guaranteed due to their alcohol consumption, we may refuse entry.
  • Please do not behave in any manner that causes a disturbance to other visitors. If you are found to be disturbing others, staff may ask you to leave the premises or you may be denied entry.
  • Please follow any instructions given by staff.

Japan Pavilion Biogas Plant Tour (includes full Japan Pavilion access)

The Japan Pavilion includes a Biogas Plant that generates energy from the food waste produced at the Expo site. Visitors will be able to see the plant up close, with special guidance from the architect. After the tour, visitors may also tour the three main pavilion areas, giving them two unique content experiences in one program.

Biogas Plant Tour Reservation Precautions
  • Once you have joined the tour, you will not be able to leave and re-enter.
  • If you arrive after your reservation time, in principle you will not be able to join the tour. You will need to make a new reservation if you wish to enter.
  • Please note that the tour may be closed or modified if necessary due to unforeseen problems.
  • In principle, the tour will proceed even in the case of rain, but may be canceled due to unavoidable circumstances such as weather or natural disasters. In such cases, we ask that you make a new reservation.
  • Wheelchair users may also participate, but please kindly note the tour will differ slightly in this case. (Wheelchair users are requested to register alongside a caretaker.)
Requests for Tour Participants
  • Food is not allowed during the tour. Beverages are allowed in a few designated areas.
  • Photography is only allowed in designated areas. Please follow staff instructions.
  • Please refrain from using photography aids such as selfie sticks, monopods and tripods.
  • Please refrain from recording for commercial purposes, any form of live broadcasting or similar filming that could lead to copyright infringement. Please be aware that the Japan Pavilion will not be held responsible for any issues caused by posting images or videos that depict visitors unrelated to the individual recording or taking photos.
  • Visitors are required to wear a helmet upon check-in (including children).
  • Please do not approach the plant except in the designated areas, as you will be passing very close to it.
  • Please do not touch the equipment or pipes.
  • If we deem that the safety of the individual or those around them cannot be guaranteed due to their alcohol consumption, we may refuse entry.
  • Please do not behave in any manner that causes a disturbance to other visitors. If you are found to be disturbing others, staff may ask you to leave the premises or you may be denied entry.
  • Please follow any instructions given by staff.

Japan Pavilion Design Tour with the Architect

Advance reservations are required for the Japan Pavilion. Please check the booking methods that are currently being accepted.

  • Application period: From 3 months to the day before 2 months prior to your reserved visit date
  • Announcement of results: Sequentially from two months before the booked visit date
  • Eligibility: Visitors who have completed Expo ID registration and reserved a date and time to visit the pavilion.

Pre-registration 7-Day Advance Lottery

  • Application period: From 1 month to 8 days prior to your reserved visit date
  • Announcement of results: Sequentially from 7 days before the reserved visit date

Applications will be accepted from March 13, 2025 at the earliest.
You can apply until October 5, 2025, during the period of the Expo.

Pre-registration Available Slot Reservations and Same-Day Registration

  • Reservation period: From 3 days before your visit date to the day of your visit

Accepting now Group Reservations
