Our mission is “Creating an uneventful tomorrow”

TEIKEI Co.,Ltd.
Our mission is to “create an uneventful tomorrow”.
We, TEIKEI CORPORATION, are a security company that provides safety and security through the power of people and machines. Since our establishment in 1978, we have trained our personnel through a consistent and unique education and training program, and all of our approximately 10,000 security guards are certified. We have and will continue to build and grow an industry-leading education system. We will continue to fulfill our mission to protect the future of Japanese society as a “symbol of security and trust” by balancing the growth of our employees with our contribution to society.
Could you tell us the reasons and background behind your decision to sponsor the Japan Pavilion?
We decided to sponsor the Japan Pavilion at Expo '2025 Osaka-Kansai because we believe that our corporate mission of “Creating an Uneventful Tomorrow” can be applied to supporting the activities of the Japan Pavilion, which will be the core facility at Expo '2025 Osaka-Kansai, as Japan will be the host country. We believed that the mission was directly related to protecting the safety and security of visitors and achieving the objectives of the Japan Pavilion and making it a success.
We have also been working to create a safe and secure environment through our security services. As a protector of social infrastructure, we see the support of the Osaka-Kansai Expo as an opportunity to take our efforts to the next level by supporting a center for communicating Japan's vision of a future society on the global stage of the Osaka Expo. Another aspect of the Nippon Pavilion's efforts is to entrust the future to the next generation. The security industry is also facing an era in which changes are required along with the declining birthrate, aging population, and advances in technology, and we are also taking on new challenges. We are delighted to have this opportunity to support the Nippon Pavilion's vision of the future.
Through this opportunity, we will contribute to the success of the Nippon Pavilion's operations and continue to move forward as a company that connects safety and security to the future. We hope that our efforts will bring trust and hope to the many people who visit the Nippon Pavilion and contribute to a bright future society.

In the lead-up to the Expo, have you observed any changes either within your company or externally?
Currently, we are accelerating the review and innovation of our traditional security operations in preparation for the opening of the Expo.
First, we have made a major shift from the traditional manpower-centered security system to a “technology-integrated” security system that utilizes cutting-edge technology. One example of this is the establishment of a security system that employs state-of-the-art robots. By replacing conventional human tasks with robots, obstacles can be detected even in the dark, and human error will not occur even if the robots work 24 hours a day. The robot's highly accurate and stable autonomous moving performance enables it to move through multiple floors by itself in an elevator, and the accuracy of the accumulated data from its patrols exceeds that of humans. The robot's eyes are used by humans to remotely monitor the system, enabling rapid response in the event of anomalies and a dramatic improvement in efficiency and safety. By combining human power and technology, we are able to build a more reliable security system and implement security at the highest level.
In addition to technological innovation, we are also putting more effort than ever before into employee training to enhance our ability to respond to visitors from diverse backgrounds. At large-scale events, security guards are required to “protect safety” and at the same time “provide a sense of security” to visitors. We are also focusing on human resource development with an awareness of the global stage of the Expo. Our contracted security services for the Japan Pavilion have improved the morale of our employees and the strength of our corporate brand.
Through these efforts, we will responsibly provide security services at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo in order to realize our goal of “creating an uneventful tomorrow” for visitors to the pavilion.
Does your company have any initiatives that focus on a "circular" approach?
We are actively working on many fronts to realize a sustainable society, including environmental protection, social contribution, and improvement of the working environment as much as possible in the security industry, which is essentially manpower-centered. As part of our environmental protection efforts, we are promoting a paperless work environment and have drastically reduced the amount of paper used by digitizing timesheets, attendance confirmation documents, and various submittal forms. The introduction of web conferencing and web-based training also contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions from the movement of people.
In addition, at the “Kenseien and Daini Kenseien” (82,243 m2) in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, we are planting trees in all seasons, modeled after the “100-year forest” at Meiji Shrine, in order to preserve the original nature (Japanese forest) for our children 100 years from now. Our landscaping technicians are carefully working to envision what the forest will look like in the century to come, and placing emphasis on the diversity (variety) and multi-tiered nature (different heights) of the trees, as well as the power of nature to repeatedly change generations and create an enduring natural forest to bequeath to future generations. Until 2024, we had planted more than 4,000 trees of about 70 species, creating a cycle of nature to be passed on to future generations.
Group companies have established work support facilities in cooperation with partner companies to provide a safe working environment for people with disabilities and their families. Through these efforts, we are creating opportunities for diverse human resources to play an active role in society. Furthermore, through partnerships with local governments and communities, we are engaged in disaster relief activities, provide relief supplies free of charge, and raise awareness of disaster prevention.
We believe that these efforts are an important step toward achieving balanced growth in environmental, social, and economic aspects, fulfilling our social responsibility as a corporation, and laying the foundation for a sustainable society for the next generation. What are your expectations for the Japan Pavilion and the Expo?
The 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo and the Japan Pavilion, under the theme “Designing a Future Society where Life Shines Brightly,” will present a variety of visions of a future society and will serve as a catalyst for a change in the consciousness of society as a whole.
The economic effects of hosting the Expo are also expected to have a significant impact on the tourism, food and beverage, transportation, and lodging industries, leading to the creation of jobs and the revitalization of the local economy. The Osaka International Convention Center will also serve as a venue for international cooperation and technology sharing, and will contribute to solving global-scale problems.
I believe that the Osaka Expo will also play an important role in educating the next generation. As was the case at the previous Osaka Expo and Tsukuba Expo, where the Showa generation's eyes lit up and their hopes and dreams for the future were filled with excitement and thrills, this will be an opportunity for young people to broaden their horizons and motivate them to lead the next generation by experiencing the challenges and technologies of the future society. The Japan Pavilion, which is attracting particular attention, is a good opportunity to draw attention to “Japaneseness” as well, since it will present Japanese culture and cutting-edge technology to the world under the theme of “Fusion of Tradition and Innovation. It will be a place to inspire through exhibits on creating a sustainable society, hands-on programs utilizing VR and AR, and proposals on medical technology and future food culture. For us in the security industry, we will take on the challenge of showing what the industry and security system of the future will look like, what we should be showing at the Japan Pavilion now, and what we will leave as an asset for the next generation.
We hope that the Expo will not be a temporary event, but rather an important turning point that will open up the future of Japan and the world through the realization of a sustainable society and the creation of new values.

How do you envision the Expo influencing society for the better? Also, what actions do you believe your company can take to support that transformation?
Since Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai will be an important opportunity to present a vision for the realization of a sustainable future society under the theme “Designing a Future Society that Shines with Life,” companies will have an opportunity to aim for real-world applications of cutting-edge technologies such as AI, robots, and smart infrastructure through exhibits and will be encouraged to innovate in their daily lives. It is also expected that innovation will be achieved through changes in awareness, starting with the smallest aspects of daily life.
For example, we will also value the accumulation of small changes we can make in our daily work and life, such as promoting paperless office and replacing dry cell batteries used in daily life with nickel metal hydride batteries. We have installed and are promoting greening on the walls of our head office building and the rooftop of our training facility so that they are easily visible to our employees and to people walking around town.
We will also use our website and YouTube to communicate our initiatives and the appeal of the Expo and the local community, in order to promote interest among a wider audience. As a result, we believe it is also important to share our awareness of the future society by conveying to children the significance of Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai and the importance of creating a sustainable society.
We will continue these activities in the belief that each of us can make this ideal a reality and help build a sustainable society by thinking about “what we can do now for the future” and accumulating small actions

To all visitors to the Japan Pavilion
The Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 is about to open. The Japan Pavilion, the centerpiece of the Expo, is a highly anticipated facility that will serve as a venue for the presentation of technology and culture that will allow visitors to experience the future. The security robots that we have introduced for facility security at the Japan Pavilion are a next-generation solution that combines AI technology and multifunctional sensors. While moving autonomously within the facility, the security robot analyzes the surrounding environment in real time and shares information with security guards. The robot can play a variety of roles, such as detecting suspicious objects and early detection of abnormalities, guiding visitors using voice and display, and assisting in evacuation guidance in the event of a disaster. Through an innovative security system that collaborates with human security guards, we are able to provide highly accurate safety measures.
In addition, the Traffic Guidance and Security Division will introduce “ORIKEI,” a foldable and portable security guard robot, as an important complementary tool to support the security system. ORIKEI is lightweight and portable, and can provide public information to visually and hearing impaired people with its four-language public information voice (up to 110 dB) and text display function using a high-intensity LED panel. Equipped with a security camera function, it is also highly effective in crisis management at event sites and during disasters. We believe it is especially important to be able to provide hospitality to visitors from all over the world at the Expo, an international event, with foreign-language audio and text displays.
By utilizing these cutting-edge technologies and products, we will create an environment in which many visitors can enjoy the Expo with peace of mind. We will continue to strive for a fusion of technological innovation and human security, and as a company that is at the forefront of safety in local communities and international events, we will continue our efforts to “create an uneventful tomorrow.
We hope that you will experience the latest in security at the Japan Pavilion through our fusion of people and equipment. We look forward to seeing you at our pavilion.
